For SPOOKY KINE INVESTIGATIONS, research plays a big part in classifying supernatural experiences. To learn more about Hawai‘i’s rich, multi-cultural heritage our SKI team turns to the Bishop Museum.

Founded in 1889, the museum is regarded as the premier natural and cultural history institution in the Pacific. As the largest and oldest museum in Hawai‘i, the Bishop Museum is the home to cultural collections, research projects, consulting services and public educational programs.

The museum’s Library has one of the most extensive collections focused on Hawai‘i and the Pacific, and includes books, periodicals, newspapers, special collections and valuable online catalogs. In addition, the Archives holds the results of extensive studies complied by museum staff in the Pacific Basin and includes manuscripts, photographs, artwork, oral histories, commercial sound recordings and maps.
